Figure 1: Pathophysiology of opioid-induced sexual dysfunction. Red line indicate the inhibition of opioid on organs. The consequence of opioid inhibition on these organs is low levels of testosterone. Low levels of testosterone may have negative impact on sexual desire and lead to structural and functional alteration of male secondary sexual organ such as seminal vesicles. GRH: gonadotropin-releasing hormone, LH: Luteinizing hormone.
